Traveling to Gaeta

By Air: Closest airports are Rome (Leonardo Da Vinci or Ciampino) and Naples (Capodichino Airport).

By Car: From the Autostrada del Sole (A1), exit at Cassino to Formia, and then north to Gaeta on SS213 until it becomes Lungomare Giovanni Caboto.

By Train: Take express train from Rome to Naples (or Naples to Rome). It runs every hour (65-90 min trip from Rome, 45-60 minutes from Naples) and stops at Formia Railway station. Take the bus or taxi from the station to Gaeta. Train schedule: In English; In Italian.

By Bus: Local bus service (Formia-Gaeta bus) from Formia railway station runs to Gaeta every 15 minutes during the week. Tickets (called biglietto - "beel-yet-to") can be purchased at the newsstand in the train station before you get on the bus.

By Boat: Ferries go into Formia from the tourist ports of S. Felice Circeo, Terracina, Anzio and Isole Pontine.
